3 months ago, as I was putting my betta back into the tank after a water change, he jumped around and fell onto the edge of the tank, then into the water. He injured his right pectoral fin as well as a small area on his side (located directly behind the same injured pectoral fin). It looked like a small cut... or perhaps a bruise?? His fin has since 100% healed, however, the area behind the fin on his right side has not. In fact, it has grown into a large lump. I thought it was perhaps a scar, but 3 months later, it's continuing to increase in size. Has anyone heard/experienced this? What can I do to help him? I've attached a few photos. Thanks!
