Teddy Tank - You've got to be kidding me...

Has anyone else had the misfortune of seeing these things? Great how someone took two wonderful things, bettas and cute stuffed toys, and put them together into this monstrosity. I think I will pass, and not house my fish in this "death trap" to be tormented by my children.

No way????? What will they think of next...what happens if it falls over? Or is it completely sealed so your fish can suffocate, as well as be mistreated and tossed around??

How ridiculous. Did you see the picture of the little girl cuddling up next to her teddy tank on her bed sleeping? Although this is totally awful, and I hope no one actually tries to keep an actual fish in there, I did find it cute that you feed the fish by putting food in the mouth of the stuffed animal XD

What in gods name.... *cringes*

It's also interesting that their betta care section is half right and half oh so very wrong.

Edit: At the very least the tanks are 1 gal. Personally that's not large enough to keep a betta in when maintained by anyone who thinks this product is a good idea but... it's slightly... less.... awful... kinda... >>;;

I haven't seen these, but if the tank is a gallon, well, a gallon weighs 8.3 pounds, so it would be a bit heavy for a small child to drag around.
A small comfort.

Having once had a roommate's 3 yo decide to feed my fish (a 29G community tank) every bit of 3 large containers of fish food - one being a brand new, large tub of algae wafers - and then decide that wasn't enough, and they needed his PB&J and glass of milk for desert, I shudder to think of what a small child would happily put into that teddy's mouth.

I think if I wanted to get my child a pet, and teach them how to properly care for animals in a responsible way, it would definitely not be in the tummy of this teddy. Haha
