Is he looking at me or his reflection?

Hector's 5g is sitting on my desk and is pretty much right at head level with me. Today is his 3rd day in his 5g and has finally realized the other fish he was flaring at was actually himself. But today he's been spending a lot of time at the front of his tank. I was just wondering, is he looking at his own reflection? Or is he actually watching me while I'm sitting at my desk? (I'm fairly certain he's watching me type this lol)

He's probably watching you! Mine comes to the corner of his tank and watches me all the time. I guess we're interesting at our desks. Or they wanna eat. :P

That's actually really cool! I've never had a fish that would actually interact with a person in some way. Although my grandpa said a friend of his had some sort of Piranha that would watch and follow people.

That is really funny! Over the period of his first three days in the tank including today, Desmoda comes over to the side of the tank facing me and sometimes pauses while looking right in my direction. When I come in from class if he's in the front of the tank he'll be looking at me. He'll come over and look at me for a second or two when I go over to take a look at him, and the first day/night he was stock still as I changed shirts for bed and waking up. I'm guessing it was because the shirt I had was bright red, but I'm only postulating. XD

For the most part he loves going around to the back where the water comes in from the filter and any other part of the tank with bubbles where he'll pop or eat them. When I fed him this morning he actually anticipated when and where a food flake would be and waited for it to come to him on the current. Clever! Only three days and he's such a ham!

Haha, I bet he is looking at you! Most of my bettas take interest in what I'm doing. Vladimir, who is one of the two on my desk, seems most curious about what I'm doing and will literally sit in the corner closest to me and watch me for extended periods...then he'll get bored and go swim around. But if I move, he'll come right back to that corner to see if I'm doing something entertaining. Also, since his tank rest on the end of the desk closest to my bed, he'll sleep in the plant in the corner by my bed, and always greets me first thing in the morning

Also I find that Vlad and Gabriel beg for food if I'm eating in front of them, its totally cute xD They all have awesome, adorable little personalities, just like a dog...its such a shame so many people don't take the time to think about it like that...

Im wondering if I will or will not put pickle in front of the computer.
He LOVES to interact with people, and really, the only person hes seen around is me,
so I think its time he sees my family before the big move, so he doesnt really get THAT stressed...

Oh yeah definitely watching you. Flair sits in one corner watching towards the door. And if he sees someone walk in he gets excited and goes to the top (even if you don't go to that side of the room). He also stares if he hasn't been fed that morning and I am still in bed...nothing like waking up to a betta staring at you. They are cute little buggers.
