Separate extremely large fry early?

Hi, all.

So my first spawn is continuing apace. I have 26 fry that I can count, of hugely varying sizes. One fry in particular is literally about ten times the size of the others. Should I jar that fry now, even though they're only 18 days old? I'm actually afraid the giant fry might eat the others.

Thanks for any help!

Don't worry the others will eventually catch up. Very seldom are fry cannibals imo as long as there is regular food it should not be a problem. I had a spawn the same way with 1 fry gigantic compared to the others and in the end they evened out for the most part. Important to keep up with water changes so Mr Big doesn't overwhelm the others with his growth stunt hormone.

I would wait another 10 days and then start jarring the big ones. The larger males produce a hormone that stunts the growth of their siblings.
