Question Do I need to change water yet?

6 days in new 3.5 gallon tank and all levels are at 0 except pH is 7.6

I was wondering if I needed to change the water anyway?

Also, How long does it take for the ammonia to start going up?

I think I may add bottled bacteria or maybe the ceramic media from my existing BiOrb (different tank) that has already cycled. (I'm pretty sure it has cycled. I started it early July- I wasn't testing water but all in that tank is at 0 except nitrate which is 5.0 ppm.)

Are there fish in the tank yet? Whent the ammonia goes up depends on what you put in the tank to cycle it.
In a 3.5g tank, you should do water changes at least once a week.

Yes, One betta is in there, Landon. Just tested again and at 0 ammonia and 0 Nitrite. Should I change the water anyway? Or just leave it. Today is day 6.

No expert but I think more harm can come from not changing the water rather than changing it. I was faced with the same question with my first tank in the first week. Same thing, 0 amonia but we changed the water all the same.

You should at least do a weekly 50% water change. You only need to do more frequent if there is a problem, IMO.
