Well, I jsut got 3 more females for my 29gal.
Putting me at a total of 4.
My original female has grown quite large and is definatly the alpha female.
The 3 news ones are midsized, but one is very small.
Funny enough, the small one is the one that hasnt gotten picked on.
But anyway, looked in the tank this morning and to my dissatisfaction, everyone's fins were exploded. Not shredded like nipping (the 2 new mid-sized females has pieces missing from nipping) but the tails are severely split from flaring so much.
I plan on pulling all 4 out for the day. Rearranging my tank, again, and putting in some small pots for them to hide in.
But should I treat the betta's out of the tank? Ususally when I have splitting and what not I put some Maracyn in the water and it seems to help with recovery. Thing is, all I have are the betta cups and feel cruel thinking about keeping them in their cups for a week or so.
Just looking for some advise before I do anything dramatic.
