Moving!!!

We're moving! Probably this weekend. So that means moving all the bettas, too. Yay! We still have their original cups, so it'll be fine, but funfunfun. We STILL have to finish packing everything, but we're pretty prepared to move. It's only a few miles away, but, yeah! So, that's pretty cool. And Max and Maxine are good... lol

Ill be in your situation in 24 days! Im counting down!

I know i can move my single tanks pretty easily, but im worried about my cycled 10 gal...

What do i do? take out like 80% of the water and cup the fish individually???? i dont want to disrupt the cycle.

I have 6 female betta, a molly, 2 otos and a few shrimp... plus several live plants! ahhh this is gunna be tough :(

any ideas?

AleXx, what you do with the cycled tank is put your filter in a bucket of tank water because you don't want it to dry out, then you would lose your beneficial bacteria. Leave a couple of inches of water in the tank to keep the gravel wet. Put some of your tank water in gallon jugs. When you get moved, just treat it like you are doing a water change. Also, keep any decorations in tank water, too. I hope this helps. This is the advice given to me for a neighbor who moved a 29 gallon tank.
I'm not sure about live plants. And yes, the fish should be put in containers fro transporting.

ya alex, drama gave great advice, the beneficial bacteria grown on everything in the tank. so every bit of it that you can keep in the tank water is beneficial to keep the cycle going.
