I was at Petco today, buying some freeze dried blood worms and looking for new decor for Samson, and I decided to check out the other fish and aquatic animals. In the middle of the aquarium section, there is a relatively large (maybe 60 gal) aquarium that the store usually keeps aquatic turtles in. But this time there weren't any turtles. Instead there were male bettas, probably about 6 or 7, all housed together in that tank, with no dividers or plants or anything to block them from one another or from at least seeing one another. It was completely empty aside from the water and the fish! I was just wondering if this would be considered safe or not? I know that male bettas aren't supposed to be housed together, but is it acceptable since the tank is larger? Or should this be brought to the manager's attention and corrected?
