Ziggy Plays Dead and Now Has an Enlarged Eye

The last week we saw that Ziggy might be dead. He was nose-down in the rocks and perfectly perpendicular to the bottom. He was motionless for several minutes until I tapped on the tank. Then he jerked a bit and began swimming around. A few minutes later and he was back in the same spot doing the vertical nose stand. Some times he will be position himself under the plastic plant slightly more horizontal. And other times he is swimming normally.

He seems to eat alright. But he does not eat much.

Today we noticed one eye seems to have become encapsulated and enlarged.

We have three betas. Buster and Flipper are doing fine. I clean their bowls every week. Each has bowl is about a gallon of water.

Anyone have a clue as to what is happening with Ziggy? Thanks!

Popeye?

Not sure what the vertical nose stand thing, some bettas have interesting personalities, but the eye issue sounds like it could be popeye.
