Oh Crud!

So I bought that gravel from Lowes to use in the tank and washed it really well yesterday. I went to the pet store to get the water from the tank tested and they said that the water is hard and the PH is hight = not safe for any fish. I know we don't have hard water so I decided to buy some vinegar and test the rocks even thoguht the lady at Lowes said there wasn't any limestone in the gravel. So yeah about 1/2 the rocks fizzled! Ugh! Will the water levels even out or will they always cause the water to be hard and the PH to be high?

it would "probably" take a really long time to leech all that outa the gravel. id completely replace it. sorry

Thtas what I ended up doing. I got a 25 pound bag from walmart and it was only $13 with tax. Kinda sucks because I really liked the pea gravel.
