Wish me luck with my buddy

I'm at a loss with my betta Baccus. He's been battling some kind of fungus or bacteria for months now. I've treated him with Melafix, Jungle Fungus Eliminator, and Jungle Fungus Clear. He looks ok for a few days after treatment and then the same thing comes back.

The tank is pristine, nitrates are steady at 10 due to weekly water changes. The cories in the tank are just fine.

So, I think he has to go to the LFS tonight. Hopefully they'll be able to take a look and give me something that will work - probably antibiotics.

Crossing fingers. I lost my first fishy over the weekend and don't want the trend to continue.

Well we're back. Baccus is really happy to be back in his tank let me tell ya :) (he's got a 5 gal).

They checked him out and gave me some Seachem Sulfathiazole (sulfur). The think I like about this fish store (other than gorgeous clean tanks), is that they don't try to throw the heavy meds at you right off the bat.

Oh, and I came home with another guy (pretty sure he's a plakat - they were calling him a round tail) to replace my Brutus that I lost over the weekend.

So, I'm off to Google the meds.
