Hmm. I have the heater in right now and it's doing alright but he still won't eat. I dunno why. I really dun want him to starve. Should I change his food or something?

I found a diff. brand of pellets. I usually feed him the Top Fin pellets and in the closet in my mom's office I found Hikari Tropical Pellets. Betta Bio Gold.

Bettas can go up to a month or so with no food. So I doubt he will starve to death. I feed mine Hikari Bio-gold and Wardley's. Flair refused to eat Top Fin. Keep offering him food. Give him time, he probably needs to adjust to the water temperature or something. He'll eat eventually :)

And my 25 watt I mentioned earlier was Hydor and it did fabulous. I have it in m 5 gallon currently and it's worked great for me.

Really? They can go that long without food? I didn't know that. Hopefully he'll eat soon. I lost a Betta quite a few months ago and I dun wanna lose this guy. He is so beautiful.

My last fish, Mr. Fishers, was blue and my guy now, Spaz, is purple.

Where did you get your heater?

My 25 watt heater actually came with the tank off Craigslist. But my other tank has my Hydor 50 Watt heater and I got that at Petsmart for cheap. I do remember seeing the 25 watt there too though. They both have the adjustable knob for temperature. I was afraid to buy one that didn't have that because I am gone most of the day and would have no way of monitoring the temperature.

Wow really Jupiter it did nothing in a 5 gallon tank, it's weird cause it say's good for a 2 gallon tank to a 7 gallon tank and the guy at the store swore to me it would work even in a 10 gallon tank.

I love that heater, I'm not at home all the time also (I work shifts) so I can't buy a non adjustable heater too.

But since that kind of heater did not work for you in a 5 gallon tank, I should not buy a bigger tank than. *lol*

I got my heater at the "Big Al's" here.

Spaz is eating! I'm happy and feeling relieved to see him eating again =)

But now I think I need to clean the tank cause it looks like it got all foggy and it's never done that before so I'll probably clean it. I use NovAqua+ and AmQuel+. They smell so horrible but it seems to be doing good. lol

Thanks everyone for the help and advice!! =)
