Well here is a quick story, a few days ago my male Betta tank had a sudden outburst of algae and got to the point where i had to 100% strip the tank and clean it. well here we are 4 days later
and over night the tank was yet again hit by a random outburst of red looking again
. its on my plants, gravel, heater, glass, everything. But only on one side of the tank. (there are holes in the divider)
5 Gal divided tank w/ heater, thermometer, light (only on for 8 hours a day), live plants (anubias, java fern, water wisteria, moss). tank is not by a window
i have 2 male bettas and 2 mystery snails in the tank and i do regular water changes.
I have had bettas for over 6 years and i am the owner of multiple 30 gal female sorority/community tanks and never had this happen.
why does this red algae/ mold keep coming back, even after a few days of completely cleaning the tank (and buying new plants) and why is it only on the left side? nothing spreads to the right side of the tank
also there is a white mold growing on my moss ball tha thappened over night also.
