upgrading sorority

I found a great deal on a 46 gallon corner tank and stand for 20 bucks. Ill have to purchase more plants as they are in a 20 high right now but do you all think I should move them before hand or after? I haven't decided if I'll sanitize the tank and cycle yet or rinse well and use since its an established healthy tank. Any opinions?

Before or after what?

I don't take chances with disease. Usually I sterilize anything that I am not 100% certain is disease free. If you trust the owner though it will save you the trouble of cycling again.

Yeah. It's a LFS owner that is selling personal tanks. The reviews for the store are great, and I haven't seen anything about fish being unhealthy, so I'm leaning towards it meaning it's clean. I'll ask for sure though and base my decision on whether I trust their answer or not.

But I meant before or after I buy more plants. The 20H is doing well and it's heavily planted, but I'm sure it won't be enough for a 46 corner tank. I'll have to check, but regardless I'm going to buy more plants.

Oh, definitely after you buy more plants. More stable params and more hiding spots for your girls.

Very true. I'll go see what I can find. I'm very excited to be upgrading and for so cheap too! :) Also means I'll have another tank for another spawn.
