Heater

Hi guys,

I have 3 - 2 gallon fluval spec tanks that need heaters. I'm not fond of the ones that remain on at all times and you cannot adjust.
Cost is a concern. Can you recommend some decent heaters (plus proper watts) that will fit my tanks? I live in Canada and would prefer to pick up at a store to save on the shipping costs but I can order on line if need be.

Thanks

PS a friend sent me an email awhile back and I think she said 25 watts but I can't find the email

Check on amazon.ca for 25w adjustable heaters. Some products come with free shipping if your order is 25$ or more.

I ordered from Drs. Foster and Smith website, though im not sure what shipping costs to you would be.

All the pet stores near me had absolutely no good heaters for a tank that small (im at a 2.5 gallon) and none were adjustable for tanks that small either.

I will take a look. I was going to order the out flow tube from Hagen. It was 3.00 but with shipping it came to over 35.00 bucks. I almost fell off my chair. So I'm a bit Leary but it doesn't hurt to look. Thanks!

I use the Aqua One adjustable heaters and they are great! I have 50W heaters, but their 25W ones are suitable for tanks up to 25 litres. They are a great brand & you can order them online from lots of places if they are not in your stores there in Canada.

The Hydor Theo 25 watt models also work great in small aquariums. I've used mine in a 1 gallon, and it worked in my 1.75 gallon and 3 gallon as well.
