Betta fry help !

Hi guys , i am new to breeding bettas and my pair of dumbo or big ear bettas have recently spawned but usually the fry supposed to be in the bubble nest and their is no bubble nest , the fry are all at the bottom looking dead and the male wont pick them up , also they still have their yolk sac and btw what colour does dead betta fry look like ?

Maybe they were not fertilized so dad is ignoring them. When they were wrapping was there a bubble nest?

I would imagine if the dad isn't attending to them then they're dead.

No... Not necessarily. Sometimes dads are just bad and don't take care of their babies. The babies are pretty weak at one day, so they often can't do much except lay on the ground. As they absorb the yolk sack and develop a bit more they should start free swimming, which is when you remove the male and start feeding.

If there are fry then they were fertilized.. agree with Matt, you should start seeing movement after a day or so from them.
