New Dalmatian Mollies (With Babies!)

I just got two dalmatian mollies yesterday, and they came with two small baby mollies. The fish store said that they were a breeding pair but I have been studying their anal fins and to me they both look female. I have also read that they will eat the babies, but so far neither of them have even attempted. They don't pay any attention to the babies. The babies are still small enough they could eat them if they tried though. One of the babies is in the second picture in the bottom left. Should I separate the babies until they get older or will they be fine since the adults don't notice them? Also any guesses on if the adults are male/female? Thanks!

Actually, if I'm not mistaken the picture with the both of them; the one up front is female and the one in back is male. The anal fin looks more pointy and thinner while the female is broader but rounded. So I think you do have a breeding pair here! They're so beautiful!

Thank you! I have been wanting some for quite some time and this weekend they were on sale so I had to get them. I'm excited to see the babies grow!

I own a Dalmatian molly myself (along with a few other color types), they are beautiful fish. :)
I would not worry too much with the fry. I have never had any problems with my adults eating the babies. Besides, you are going to get a lot more. lol

Even if they were both females, you'd still get baby Mollies because odds are they have been impregnated by the males they were with before you adopted them. I have a female Dalmatian I named Lady and she's quite fat. So I don't know if she's insanely knocked up or if she's a balloon molly. We'll see in about a month. If I don't see fry by then, I'll know she's a balloon. But congratulations, I hope you see many fry (which odds are you will ).
