I moved back to college recently, I've just started my third week and one of my fish just hasn't adjusted well. Floyd has been resting a lot as of late and his fins are really, really long. His anal fin is approaching 2.5" in length, it is def over 2.25" so that's gotta be pretty heavy and as I said he rests more than usual and for the past few days he has been really lethargic, barely moving and mostly hanging around near the bottom of the tank where he usually sleeps. When he does swim he doesn't seem to have a lot of trouble, just sinks really fast when he stops swimming because he's heavy I guess. The tank is clean and all the water tests are normal and his tank mate, another betta (the tank is a divided 10 gallon) is behaving normally and is just as lively as usual. So something is just up with Floyd I reckon. I so far have decided he is either just getting older (will be a year old in November) and has passed his juvenile phase and is just chilling or he may be constipated. He did not eat this morning, I put the food (Omega betta pellets) right in front of him and took it out when it finally sank to the bottom of the tank. I won't feed him tonight either, he does not look constipated but I dunno :/ he just acts like he isn't feeling well.
