Question A bit of his fin is ripped off

A bit of my bettas fin is ripped off. I gave him 2 salt baths, but it didn't really help. What do I need to give him to help his fins heal?

The salt baths are a good idea to help prevent infection; however, the healing will take them as their fins are very thin and fragile. Do you know what caused them to tear? Perhaps if you have plastic plants that are sharp they should be replaced with silk plants, as the fins of a betta are very easy to tear (almost like tisue paper) compared to other aquarium fish.

So I shouldn't do anything and just wait for it to heal?

Yea, the salt baths probably helped. Unless you think the tearing could be bacteria related...like fin rot but the fins would be ragged looking and have blackish colored edges.

for fin or scale injuries not related to illness I usually just give one salt bath, has worked so far each time.

a bit of his fin is ripped off.

Okay thanks

But he's also having trouble swimming, because of his tail. Hes been like that for a while, so I want him to heal quickly, because he's always resting on the plants and decorations.

If it's really bad, you might have to give him more salt baths if you can't see the fins growing back.

Is he having trouble reaching food or getting to the water surface? Sometimes lowering the water level can help if they seem to have troubles swimming.

I think you should just let them heal. Time makes everything heal! I hope he gets better soon!
