question about quarantine tank temp

Hello again. So here's my situation. I was treating my betta in his five gal with salt for minor fin rot and tears. However I didn't even think about my plants and shrimp. :/ so I have a small 1.5 gal tank I want to quarantine him in. This has the added bonus of *trying to cycle the tank. I want to take my heater and put it in the smaller tank but it gets the water to about 84-85 degrees while in the other tank it sits at about 80. Is this ok for a few days/a week/a few weeks?

At petco, they have teenie little heater plates that go under the gravel. I have that for my two gallon, which is the minimum for it. Only 10.99, you can't beat that.
