Tank too small? I have no room!

I have a .5 gallon tank and I know that's way too small. It's just a small glass fish bowl sitting on top of my dresser. The only problem is the length of the tank. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what kind of tank I should get?

The best size is 2.5 gallons or larger.

Even a 2G would be better. I would measure the length of your dresser and than go on the pet stores website that you use and look at the different tanks. It should say the width on each page.

you can get some tanks that are taller instead of wider which may help in your circumstances. Like others said bigger is always better but even a 1gallon is better than a .5 so it all depends on your space restraints and your fish budget.

1.5-2+ would be better. There are small tanks out there that are 3 gallons. I have my betta in a 3 gal kritter keeper, which is not the best but better than what he was in. Look around in wal mart.
I know about the space thing, I put some of my dolls off my shelves to make room for my little buddy.

Critter keepers are wonderful....I just bought one. They have a door in the top to keep bettas from jumping out too.
