I would say a Veiltail (: Most petstores only carry Veils or crowntail females, though the occasional spade tail slides in. She's a very pretty little girl, and hope you have good luck with her!

A bit late, but welcome to the forum! I give grave warning... you can NEVER have just one betta! :P I myself have ten, which is nothing compared to ChristinaRoss' ... 73, I think? Still... I have too many XD But I don't regret any of them at all. I love em all (:

oh wow! I actually had a betta previous to Ripple, a blue male named Swimmy (:
I think he was pretty old, even though I only had him for 6 months because I changed his water every week, fed him daily, checked on him to make sure he was healthy, etc. He got really lethargic and for pretty much the whole month of december he was lying on his rocks at the bottom of the bowl and then this past Tuesday, he passed :(
I think I've started to catch betta fever though.. I want another one! I don't think my parents would care much if I came home with two or three more, but too many more than that and I think it'd be over the top! I'd love to get a big tank with other kinds of fish, I hear some bettas can live with certain other types of fish. I just don't have the room or the money though. When I go to college I'll probably have quite a few bettas haha :)
