would 4 bettas in 14 gal divided be too much? i currently have 3 in a 10 gal, and i noticed that petco had their aqueon kit on sale yesterday when i was there 14 gal kit for $40.
would this work? i can't really afford too much more.
Yeah as everyone else has said the 14g sounds just fine for 4 bettas. I would even say 5, but unfortunately a standard 14g doesn't divide into 5 very icely.
Thanks guys. I think I am actually going to get the 20 gallon one that is on sale. Might as well so i'll have enough room in case i find another fish down the road
Yay for a bigger tank I was going to say a 14 gal divided 4 is fine. As for 20 you could divide "technically" up to 8 but I think it would look better with 5. I have a 29 gallon divided for my 5 boys and they love it! Good luck with your new tank!
do you think it would be a good idea/easier to set up 5 sections (since I will probably get another at SOME point)? or should I rearrange the tank when I get a 5th one?
Hmmm I would probably just go ahead and divide 5 ways. I find that the first time I put dividers in they are much sturdier than after water changes. It is the worst experience finding two males in one section As for which of those two males, which would I get, hmmm that's a really hard choice! I guess it would depend if any of my bettas already had those colors. If not I would probably get the green/blue DT just because I rarely see and green males at my LFS. But it's all up to you Can't wait to see the new addition!
Hmmm... They are both so nice! When in doubt, buy both fish! Okay but I guess if I had to choose I would get the DT.
