Water Conditioner with Aloe?

Hey, So i lost my water conditioner somewhere so i bought a new one at petco. Not paying attention i bought one with aloe in it. I used it and it doesn't seem to bother the fish at all... but i got to thinking, Is having Aloe in your water conditioner a bad thing???

Nah. You're talking about Stress-Coat right? It's just a gimmick IMO but it definitely won't harm your fish by any means.

I used to use it and it made my water yucky. I had stuff hanging off my betta's fins. When I switched conditioners, I stopped having the problems.

Hmm I used stress-coat with aloe religiously without any problems until I discovered Prime.

On a related note, you only have to condition the water you are adding to the tank. So if you have a 10g tank and you are changing out 2g of water, you only have to add enough water conditioner for 2g, not 10g. It took me about 6 months (and 5x more water water conditioner than necessary) to figure that pearl of wisdom out.

Lol, yea i know about the only treating the water added. I am kinda against putting anything in my water that doesn't have to be there, but i don't have the oppertunity to go to a petstore for a while (we don't have one where i live, the closest one is 65 miles one way)

My water is clear and the fish seem healthy, and sushi's fins are doing better... *shrug* Guess all is well :D
