How do you reduce the water flow? The current is too strong for my bettas in my 5 gal. Need a quick answer asap!

Tie or rubber-band a piece of aquarium sponge over the filter outlet. Let it dangle into the water. Do not use common kitchen sponge.

Hally means get an aquarium approved sponge and rubber band it directly in the out path of the water to slow down your water. I'm lucky and my Top Fin 20 filter lid can be turned around and hung over the front and it completely redirects and slows flow.
