Help

I don;t know why, but my betta, Sparky is scared of cameras. Each time I try to take a picture of him, it doesn't work because he always swims off and hides. Any ideas?

Does he flare at all? He might be seeing his reflection depending on how close you put the camera. Mine flares at the camera a lot. If you really want a picture of him you could try leaving for a while until he comes out again. Then stand farther away and zoom in and see if he still notices. Mine tend to notice me even if I just walk by. I have to be stealthy to get a picture of them in their plants.

Well, we tried using the mirror, but he attacked the reflection and ended up crashing into the glass :(

Mirror? How would a mirror help with getting a picture?

Are you using a flash? If so, try taking the flash off and using a lamp or room lights. Some of mine don't like the camera flash because it's bright and quick which scares them.

Simple psychology. Place the camera close to the tank all the time. Feed him and interact with him all the same and he'll learn not to be afraid.

I doubt the petition site will do much about a YouTube video. Did you report the video on YT? They're pretty good about removing offensive content.
