I have a Male and Female Betta I keep them in different tanks.
The girl I put in a 5 gallon so when I change her water I generally do a 100% change. As such I put her in a 1 gallon an place the 1 gallon near the males 10 gallon tank. He proceeds to fan his fins look at her get all excisted then hide, then pop out and flare at her then run, and do this for a while. She on the other and may look at him but generally just looks at my like "why am I in this little thing, AGAIN!"
So I had a guilty moment of wondering how they enteract together so I put her in his tank for about 1 minute. She was like "Wants this. Whats this? Why don't have any of this cool stuff" and proceeded to see the boy and follow him for a moment then she went on her marry way doing other things. The boy at first ran then looked then ran then got close and flared at her, and then she ran and I ended the experiment there. He acted very much like he did when she was in the 1 gallon.
So I am wondering am I a horrible person?
Also wondering can this be something I do peritically? I have no intensions to do it without watchign an only for a moment. Is there any advantage to them seeing eachother?
I don't intend to breed.
