Petsmart upgrade

I wish Petsmart had others besides VTs and CTs too! and I wish there was a petco here.

My Petco was a mess when I went to get Whiskey. There was at least one dead and they had about 40 in stock. Most of them had fin rot, and looked starved. There was one who looked just like Clypso and he had white stringey things hanging from him. Their cups were dirty. The dead one had been dead for a while, it was in the front too. It's not usually like that. I complained to the woman I know there and she said they're badly understaffed. I don't know if I'll be going back.

I haven't been in a petco in a LOOONG time, so I dunno how the one close to where I live is. Maybe I'll check it out sometime.

Unfortunately, my petco has just gone through the opposite =/ The water has gone down from about 2, even 3 inches, to less than one. All cups have algae, poo, and left over food floating around in them. A couple of cups had dead bettas rotting, and most were sick in some way. They were only veiltails, too. The HMs, DTs, CTs, and so on looked perfectly fine... they'd just left the VTs to die ): I was REALLY disappointed, because my Petco has been great up until now.
Fortunately, I'm kinda/sorta friends with some people there (that happens when you go 1-2 times a week ), so I'll tell them that this is NOT a good thing, and if it continues, I'll be taking my patronage to a different pet store (trust me, with over 16 pets, I do spend some money there xD), and will be telling my friends about the horrible animal quality exhibited.

maybe I should, that way they will get positive reinforcement, and hopefully continue to give their animals better care.

The Petsmarts I've been to here are generally good about keeping bettas. There is the occasional sick one or dirty cup, but usually they seem okay. I've only seen one dead one so far. I just wish they had more variety...
