Vacation time!!!

I'll be spending 5 days at my boyfriends parents house in New Jersey! I'm sooo excited to get out of my house.lol The only thing I'm worried about is my fish. My sister or dad feed my fish when I'm gone, but they don't clean my tanks and I wouldn't trust them to anyways. I'm leaving the 28th and I'll be back the 2nd. I'm going to do one water change on all of my tanks before I leave, but I usually do it twice a week. Should I tell my sister and/or dad not to feed them as much? Saturdays I fast them anyways. I give them 3-4 pellets a day, so maybe cut it down to 2 a day so they don't poop as much?

Bettas can go a long time without eating. If you cut them back to 2 or 3 pellets, you could still fast them a day. Just do not understate the importance of NOT OVER_FEEDING!

People new to fish like to interact, and they think this means feeding a lot.

They do not realize they can cause SBD or other maladies. Enjoy the trip!

Oh no, my dad has had fish basically his whole life so he knows and my sister counts the pellets out before she gives them.lol Ok, I'll tell them to feed 2-3 pellets a day.

I left mine for a month without cleaning, so I'm sure they'll be fine! My aunt fed them two pellets every other day, though.

I'm going to tell them to give them 2-3 pellets for 4 days and fast them on saturday. Hopefully I won't have any problems.lol

I think 2 pellets a day will be fine.
