Exclamation OMG come quick, urgent! My fish is messed up

Omg, I just fed Flame right now, his normal food (pellets), and he was fine, and then I looked back at him after he ate, and for some reason he's like breathing SOO heavily. I thought he was just flaring at me, thats how big he's breathing, but then it kept on going in and out and in and out, so im like "why is he flaring like that?" So then I came back like 5 minutes later, and hes STILL breathing like that, and he's not doing it at me, so hes not flaring, but he's breathing SO heavily, and I think the food did it to him, hes breathing so heavily that it looks like hes flaring. Omg what did I do to him??

I have no idea what could be causing him to be breathing so heavily like that but maybe he's choking on his food? I hope he's ok!

Well if he's choking on it, then he's been choking for 20 minutes :l so idk, and it's the pellets that he always eats.

was he startled by anything recently? was he sleeping when you went to feed him? that happened to niko once, i lifted his top to feed him he was sleeping and it startled him so bad that he lost ALL his color and was breathing like that for a good 15 minutes before he settled down.

Well my brother had to move my dresser to get the plug of the lamp out that is used for his light, because he needed it, and after that happened flame got really scared and lost all his colour. when I put the lamp back, after about half an hour he became bright again, but when I fed him I dont think he was sleeping, but he was having trouble finding the food, even though it was right infront of him, I had to tap on the glass to make him look at the food. So maybe he was asleep.

He's still breathing heavily, but not as much as before. Before it looked like he was flaring, but not anymore.
