lol thanks, after I moved I had to break down all my tanks, so I've been going bare bottom up until today, replanted a 10 gal today :D

I can imagine how long that can take. It took me 3 weeks to start adding stuff to my 10 gallon. Finished a coupled months ago after an ammonia spike.

Yeah, had to wait a few paychecks to get it up and running again, and I have to wait for the plants to grow in again *sigh* it's my first run with a sand cap too so we'll see how it works out

I'm debating on that, he's pretty aggressive... I might wait until everything grows in more fully until adding shrimp, and take him out of the tank while I do it so they have time to hide. I'm not too fond of snails... I'd like to add other fish but... I have no idea xD

It's just that snails and shrimp are good with algae and keeping the tank clean. The plants then turn their waste into nutrients that they need.

yeah, the tank is too sparse right now for shrimps to survive with my guy lol ( I just posted a photo in the compatibility thread)
