flaring

I wasnt sure where to put this but I saw an aquarium for two bettas with a divider in the middle to help maximize flaring or something like that. My question is, is flaring up really good for the betta or no?

eh its good to an extent but it stresses them out.
And that aquarium is probably way too small.

its healthy for Bettas to flare for a small amount of time each day. But constantly being able to see a rival male is very stressful and in the end will hurt your fish.

I put a floating betta mirror in my tanks for 5-10 minutes once a day so each fish can flare.. thats ususally enough to keep them happy but not stress them out.

The divider in my divided tank is somewhat see through so if both fish are right next to the divider they can see each other and flare but not feel threatened. Clear dividers are a big no no IMO.

It's not good for it to be constant. Tango keeps blowing his tail because he's flaring so much at his own reflection.
