Lightbulb How can I make the tank less reflective?

Thanks to the forums I have found out the cause for my fish's tail shredding...He is a biter. On my quest to find out why he is doing this I cant help but wonder if it is because the tank is too reflective? Is there anyway to make the tank less reflective? Would this cause him to bite his tail?

Any advice is much appreciated

Sticking some white paper to the outside walls of the tank makes it less reflective I find. also don't turn your room light off when the tank light is on because if its dark outside the tank and the light is on inside that's when he'll see the most reflections

I think its possible reflections could make him bite his tail there are many reasons bettas bite their fins. I figured out mine does it when he gets excited.

i know mine would flare at his reflection when i had him downstairs with the room light off and tank light on. i have read that too much can cause stress which can cause tail bitting so it might be the problem.
