Betta Food

Dear All,

I am extremely grateful to all of you because my second Betta seems to be thriving as he is happily building his next.

The only problem I have now, is that I am supposed to be going away for the weekend and I was wondering if there is fish food device that can feed my fish daily? I really don't have anyone that I can rely on to come into the flat daily and feed my daughter's new pet. I do not want to take the chance to ask a neighbour to take him in as he is doing so well.

I tend to change his water every two to three days. I feed him two pellets twice a day (Well, my daughter does).

I would really appreciate your advice.

Kind regards.

Whatever you do, don't buy feeding blocks! Bad idea. They do nothing but pollute the water at best.

The betta will be fine without food for up to a week. Many people who have keep bettas at their office simply refrain from feeding during the weekends with no adverse effects at all. Remember, bettas rarely eat every day in the wild!

He'll be ok without any food over the weekend. Just feed him right before you leave and when you get home.

Yep! I've left mine for 5 days and they were fine. :) I WAS a little worried, but they were fine, just hungry.

What everyone else said. He'll be fine for a few days without it. Better than overfeeding with those yucky weekend blocks.
