My boy is a halfmoon, turquoise and white. I'm looking for a halfmoon female as well; I don't want to try crossing different tail types. And I'd like to find at least a similar color. Not necessarily because I don't like other colors; I just don't want to breed mutts! Not that I have a problem with them, but I want them to be more "marketable." I'm not really looking to make money on this endeavor, but I do want to be able to find homes for them. I don't want hundreds of bettas left with me. lol

Lol, I understand what you're saying.. You don't want to be stuck with a bunch of Bettas that you can't sell

Exactly! I won't have the heart to cull what I can't sell, so I'll be overrun with bettas in my apartment. And much as I love them, I'll want to provide the best care. No room for decent size tanks for all of them. I mean, I know that there's a possibility that I won't be able to get rid of all of them, but I want to maximize my chances!

There ARE people who will take a cull for a pet. I have. Mother nature often culls the weaker, deformed ones.

Don't forget about joining the IBC. The $20 membership is worth the TA articles alone. That's technical assistance. Then you have all the issues of FLARE that also are packed with information.

And I will definitely be joining the IBC, as soon as I get paid!
