I was having a bad day...

So of course I bought myself another betta. After losing almost all of mine due to a mystery disease, I was devastated. Since I work at Petsmart, I always see the bettas everyday and last week one caught my eye - a beautiful dragonscale DT boy. Well, after a week of him still being in that cup (and being active at that), I knew it was time for me to take him home and give him my open (uncontaminated) 3g tank. I bought him before my shift so he was my register buddy all day. I adore him, he's already really beginning to show personality and recognize me! His name is Tiberius, but I call him Tibby lol.

Please excuse the water stains. Rough week = tank was not wiped down. Another interesting fact - I asked the Pet Care Manager where the bettas came from and she said she's pretty sure they come from overseas. The shipment Tibby came in had very young bettas and considering how small he is, I think he's still quite young. Given the size of the others he came in with, I'd say a few months. When I got him to flare, his beard was also quite small, so I really think he'll grow a little more. He also has one shorter, stubby ventral so I'm waiting to see if it'll regrow. If not, it gives him character! He ate immediately after coming home, so I'd say he settled pretty quickly. :)

He's still doing great and has such a big appetite! I'm not over feeding him, but it's nice to see him so anxious to put the food in his belly :) He's quite active too. I love him!

Thank you. He's definitely enjoying the heated 3g over the cup he was in. :p

Thank you! I think he is a DT since he has such a wide dorsal. Not positive on that though, but regardless I think he's quite the handsome little fella. :)

He's beautiful! I got a dt from Petsmart a few years ago. He was labeled as a drsgonscale.
