Something horrible happened......

I went away over the weekend, left saturday midday & got back late last night (sunday), before i left i feed up all the fish, everything was fine, apart from one of my girls was a lil 'iffy' (as in lying on the floor alot & keeping quiet) but she was eating & swimming around abit, thought she'd be ok.

...Anyway when i returned last night I found that she had died & been eaten (hollow!), i felt soo bad, but she seemed fine before i left!

so now, I'm abit concerned....

(A) I dunt know how long it was she'd been in there dead, so to cause infection to spread

(B) obviously my other fish have eaten her, so will that spread whatever it was that killed her??? the most likely candidates are some tetras, gouramis & female siamese.

what should i do? oh dear

I'm sorry for your loss.
I'd take them all out and scrub the tank, if the tank is small enough that you can do that. Then maybe keep all of the bettas separate from the other fish for a little while, and treat the bettas, just in case.
