Everything good except.....

....Nitrite. I have a 10 gal tank, 16 days old. Things are going fine, been testing the water almost everyday. About 3 days ago the Nitrite has been high.

Today I did a 25% water change. Tested it again and the numbers are still high. Anything I should add to the water to lower that?

It has 6 Cory's and 1 betta in it. 2 live plants, running a Top Finn 10 filter (I changed the cartridge in it last week).

That's normal, since your tank is new and still in the cycling process. In fact, you want that to happen. Just keep up with the partial water changes, and eventually the nitrite readings will be replaced with nitrate, and your cycle will be done.

On another note, though, you should have added the cories after the cycle was done. You've overloaded your tank, and cories are sensitive to water conditions. Just keep an eye out for them and change your water partially each day. Don't add anything, because that will just mess your cycle up.
