D: Im sorry for your loss. At least he lived a happy life, unlike the many bettas that die in those tiny, confined cups at pet stores. I have lost multiple fish in one night from my small pond in my backyard because of some animal. Like 1fish2fish, I also buried all of my fish.

sad sad day the joy of having animals... things like that happen. and although we're the most developed species on earth we dont have the power over life and death... and never will. mother nature does that.

i cant "flush" either... my mum had to do it with my old 2 bettas...

It's okay, thank you for your sympathies. It's hard feeling that helplessness. I wish I could have helped him better but I'm glad that his suffering didn't last long. I think I'm going to adopt another betta soon but this time I will make sure I'm feeding him right. :/

Isnt it frustrating when people tell you oh its just a fish why are you so upset? It baffles me that people get fish yet dont see them as part of the family. Everyone acts like I'm weird for feeling sad over Walter so I am thankful I can come here and be around people who actually care about their fish and are sad when they leave us. *sigh*

So sorry about Walter. :(
And I know exactly what you mean, Meg215. All my pets are considered a member of the family to me, including my fish.
