Heating question

I found out today that my mom has a 100w heater that my sister gave us with her 20g tank awhile back. My mom doesn't use it so it's mine now (lol). But the problem is I need a 25w for my kritter keeper tank (2.5ish gallons) Petsmart is still out so I was going to order one.

My question is... would one of my 50ws be okay (at a low dial) in the 2.5g for a week or so? And I could use the 100w in one of my 10gs for the time? In the next week or two I am getting a 20g long so then the 100w would go in it and hopefully by then petsmart would have a 25w if not I am going to order a visi-therm stealth. So would the heater switch around be okay for a couple of weeks or is that too big of a risk?

the 100w is hydor... don't know how good those are?

I can't believe this was never answered. I know it is old, but what did you end up doing after?? It seems like good advice for some people :3
