Air Pump

Hi everyone, 6 gallon eclipse biowheel heated with female betta and some cherry shrimp.

Just curious should I get a air pump? If yes is this a good brand or should I get one like this? and what size should I get? Any suggestions on accessories?

Wish I could find the db of the Fusion one.

Doh just read somewhere that pump must be elevated above the tank's waterline? If this is the case I don't have a shelf pump would be even with bottom of tank... :(

I am not sure if it is necessary for you to get an air pump because bettas have the ability to breath oxygen by going to the surface and getting a gulp of air.

Some people posted up pictures of their tank on this forum and I noticed that some do have air pumps and some do not.

I think the first air pump will work out fine IMO. plus you can adjust the airflow.

I'm a fairly new member on this forum, but I hope this helps :D

You CAN have an air stone in your tank, but it's not something you need. IF you have an Air pump, get a gang valve so you can adjust the flow of the air so it's not too much of a current.

You can get which ever pump you want, I'd read the reviews to see if they are quiet and if they have good reviews. ALL air pumps are kinda loud. My room is soooo loud! I have two air pumps and three filters running at all times. LOL it's pretty noisy in here!

Hmm I was thinking of getting this one looks like you can regulate the air flow, do I still the gang valve regulator?

I can't find any reviews on the fusion once. Hope there is some indication of db on the box argh!

Thank you in advance.

You won't need a gang valve if you get that pump. Looks nice!!
