Camera Shy?

My female betta (Lady GaGa) has always been very friendly and sociable but today when I tried to take a picture of her she practically flew behind her filter and would not come out for 15-20 minutes she is acting normal with the camera gone now though. Could she just be camera shy lol or could this be something serious? I love her a lot and if she is sick want to try and get her some meds

I think she's probably fine. She just got scared.

My betta does the same thing. I can't get a decent picture of him because he apparently hates being near my camera or my phone. I am envious of those able to take nice pictures of their bettas!

ok good i had never seen her do that before (have had her for a year) and it worried me that something might be wrong with her. She is my little baby I rescued her from a pet store they were using female betta fish as feeder food for their oscars it was so disgusting

Aw, that's terrible! I'm glad to hear you saved her :) [mine was from Wal-Mart, so he was technically a rescue, too]

Thankfully the Wal-Mart out here in Richmond doesn't sell fish [so they're not killing them] my fish was a "special" where they had a whole table of bettas set up for Christmas... he was only $2
