Thanks! I'll have my dad help me with that sometime. [It'll be hard to do here in the dorm since I'm limited with supplies...]

Also... anyone else experience problems keeping their plants in the substrate? Admiral Finns enjoys headbutting the gravel to get in the corner where the plants are and rips them from the gravel... [silly boy]

Depending on what type of plants they are you could tie (or glue?) them to something like a rock or piece of wood. What I've done in my tank though is placed cobble over the gravel around the plants to keep it compact.

With baby tears the way i do it is to burry a lot of the plant that brush off the substrate untill the plant becomes visible.

Also with your plants you want to make sure you have the right watts per gallon.

Try to get at least 2 watts per gallon (thats a safe zone)

To figure it out, divide the wattage of the bulb to the gallons in the tank.

15 watt bulb, 10 gallon tank = 1.5 watts per gallon. Florescent gives better lighting also

The wattage of the bulb is 15 and I've got a 2.5 gallon tank- I should be safe, lol. :) I'll get to burying those baby tears- he's already got them floating around the top lol
