Another hypothetical question (there is no betta yet):
If you have a dense floating plant cover .. say duckweed/frogbit that sort of thing, just what do you do about feeding? Pluck some out to make a clear spot to throw in food? Or just toss food in and "he/she'll find it". Or is it best to avoid such dense forming floaters since betas need to come to the surface for breathing and might not be to smart about breaking through the foliage?
I ask since it makes a easy nitrate/excess nutrient absorber plant option.
