Two Males

Okay so, I just got a new male Betta on Friday. Omiword, it is impossible to own just one betta and not be tempted to get more.

Anyway, I have them in two separate bowls, (durr) but I don't have a water heater so like, I have to put them under my lamp. Since I only have one lamp, I put both bowls side by side on my disk. So all day the new one is flaring at Elton. Of course Elton doesn't give a heck for the new guy, but I was wondering, is this unhealthy for them to be flaring at each other all day every day??

I'm guessing not, but I just want to make sure. :)

Haha tell me about it...I have 20!lol Flaring is actually good exercise for them. You could get a 5G tank with a light and divide it with a heater and filter. They really should be in 76-80 degrees F of water.

I have my males next to each other and they never flare at each other. They won't even flare at their reflections. lol

It's so weird, some won't stop flaring and others could care less.lol I could put a mirror up against the tank of some of my males and they would look at me like 'Mom, I know it's my reflection'.lol

lol inorite! I do that with Elton and he goes crazy! But like, now that I got Assassinator, he could care less. Assassinator is so mean .... he's wild. It blows my mind how even fish have personalities. Amazing.

Yupp. Each and every one is different. My mom thought they were just dumb fish, but after she sat down and looked at a couple of my fish for a little bit she realized they weren't dumb and they indeed do have great personalities.
