Oli wont eat.

I got a betta a week ago, i named him Oliver. Hes been pretty miserable since the day i brought him home. He just kinda sits there and stares, then hides a little bit, then he sits back at the bottom and stares some more. First, he had one of those 'betta starter kits' just so i had something to put him in, then i bought a bigger tank a day later. I didnt have a heater for him, but i got one a day after i got the tank and his water's warmer now. It had a preset heat, so i cant make it any warmer, so idk if its too cold or not. The preset heat is either 72 or 78, i cant remember... i know 72 is bad though, right? Anyways its been a week, he still wont eat anything, i bought some freezdried bloodworms today but im not at home to feed them to him until tomorrow. My other betta is the happiest little guy in the world, so idk if its just the difference in personalities, or if theres something wrong with Oli.
I dont care if hes just a boring fish but im worried about his eating habits :(

when i got my betta it didn't eat for 3 days. the fourth day i crumpled up the pellets and it started to eat.

He might still be adjusting to his new home. Its not uncommon for bettas to not eat for as long as 2 weeks after bringing them home.

he's most likely still adjusting. my newest guy didn't eat for 2 weeks! where did you get your heater at? if we have the same one, i believe it's preset to 76, i haven't heard of a heater that only warms to 72.

i'm pretty sure we have the same one. just keep on offering him food, he should come around soon :)

Your right there, 72 is barely above the temperature in my goldie tank, and that's unheated!

My new guy wont eat pellets at the moment, because i started him on Bloodworms so hes being a bit stuck up now. There will become a point when he gets so hungry he'l have to eat pellets though, so just keep trying him :)

Hes eating now, i gave him some bloodworms and hes a lot happier now:)
