Recovering from fin rot

Two of my bettas got pretty bad fin rot while we were in temporary housing. I had them in 1/2 gallon critter keepers doing daily 50% water changes. I started noticing the fin rot when we were a few days from moving into our new house and so stepped it up to daily 100% water changes. (I had them in the small containers because I did not have room for all their tanks when we drove to our new city/state. I had to send the tanks with the movers and they were in storage until we closed on our new house) I was surprised how fast the fin rot set in. They both lost a good portion of their tails to it. One is an elephant ear super delta and the other a half moon double tail. I got their tanks set up immediately upon moving into our new house and we've been here 4 weeks now. The fin rot is gone. But I haven't noticed much new growth on their tails. Am I expecting too much too soon? The halfmoon was a rescue from petco and had significant fin rot and it seemed like new growth occurred pretty quickly. Both are active and seem healthy. Just wondering if there is anything else I should be doing. They share a 10 gallon tank divided. Anywho here my answers to the suggested questions.

Tail rot or fin rot
•Symptoms: Betta’s fins and/or tail seem to be getting shorter and shorter or they seem to be falling apart and dissolving, Black or red along the edge of the betta’s fins/tail, Bloody tips, Behavior may not change

Treatment:

Conservative: Treat with Aq.Salt at 1 tsp/gal. Increase water changes to 100% daily. Replace accurate amount of salt following water changes. Add Stress Coat to help repair tissue. If there is little to no improvement within the first 5 days, you can increase the salt dosage gradually to 2tsp/gal but do not continue any salt treatments past 10 days.

Medication: If Conservative treatment is ineffective use API Tetracycline, API Fungus Cure, API Triple Sulfa, OR API Erythromycin. Also add Stress Coat to help regrowth. Continue until fins/tail stop receding and start showing some new growth.
