Hmm, that's something worth checking into... I know the company website has a forum in which to ask questions - that's a good place to start.

Yes the wheat is the binder for omega one as well.

I'm waiting for my account to be validated so that I can ask about it

To be honest I do not know what to think about this yet... Gonna reserve judgement till after it's discussed with the source.

Sounds good to me, I'll be interested to hear what they have to say as well. I would assume still though with it's addition of Garlic and Spirulina, that it would still be a good food to feed. I also wonder if it's all the formula's that have been changed or if it's just the Betta/Small fish.

They use the same ingredients in all their formulas. Quantities differ which account for the different percentages, though the order in which they are listed is generally the same.

Great!

(Sorry for throwing the thread off course a little but I think it's all educational anyway!)

Wow, thanks for all the info! Yeah I'm doing Hikari Betta Bio-Gold but now that doesnt seem so fantastic. I suspect that its the best that Petco or so carries, when I can get to an indie fish pet store I'll check it out. Sorry I couldn't check this sooner.

Poor Zen still hasn't eaten :(

Depending on your store and whether you were looking to go to the NLS or Omega, Petco should have the omega pellets at least, and I believe they often carry the NLS pellets. I know I get my Omega from Petco, and have seen NLS there a few times.

Have you offered him blood worms? If so has he taken them?

And all this food talk was very educational, I almost wonder if you should create a sticky for this, cracking the code of the ingredients lists and explaining what are the things to look for.

I know I would have liked to have had it when I first started out, initially I just started with the cheap wardley's and just made sure there were no color enhancers in it; cause I don't know about you but that just sounds like dyes put in that aren't good for your fish.

I found this helpful. Maybe someone could make a sticky uses this info. (Cite original poster, of course). Also, add anything else of importance to the sticky.
