Temptation won over

I wanted to hold out on getting a new betta until I could order something a bit more interesting than the red and blue that you see at the pet stores. But when I went in to get gravel for a project, I just couldn't help myself. I brought this little guy home. He still doesn't have a name, but one will come to me I'm sure. I've set him up in a little 2.5 gallon tank for quarantine but then he'll have a nice 20 gallon community tank with some tetra and cory to hang out with.

He was a little camera shy at first:

But I finally got a decent shot of him:

And this is his happy little temp home(forgive the horrible lighting):

Oh, he's gorgeous! He looks like a delta tail. I love his coloring. You should name him after someone from The Walking Dead to fit your zombie theme.

The cup he came in said that he was a halfmoon but who knows?

And I'm not sure that he really fits the names of any surviving Walking Dead cast but now that you mention it, he does kind of remind me of Grayson from Dead Set. I'll have to consider it for a while. That or I could name him Cheshire to go with my Wonderland theme(my real name is Alice, there's no fighting Wonderland).

Well, he could be half moon. I'm not expert. I would have to see a pic of him flaring. But, he's not a plain ol' veil tail, that's for sure.

I do like Chesire. He seems to have the same color scheme as that cat-that-freaked-me-out-when-I-was-a-kid. :)

He looks like a Delta - nothing bad about that though! He's very lovely!

Cheshire works, especially since I have a Wonderland theme going on in my bedroom already.

I also got a picture of the second betta I got(because I couldn't decide between the two), who has his own 20 gallon tank. I've decided to continue with the theme and name him Absolem. He's very perky and darts around in his tank constantly but shies away if I approach too quickly.
