Hornwort

I have a bunch of hornwort floating around in my 10 gal planted tank. I've noticed that since I got it, I've been having problems with algae growing on it. I take it out every week and rinse it to get the algae off. Is there any way to keep this from happening??

Instead of cleaning it weekly, I suggest daily as it may help the algae clear up. If you don't use water conditioner, begin using it soon. Tap water can grow algae if the tank has the right set up, and water conditioner can make sure that algae doesn't grow.
